Abstract
The purpose of this paper is the introductory presentation of the Atmospheric Pollution Monitoring Virtual Network of Tarragon, a set of Virtual Reality worlds for low cost PC computer based systems. The software developed detailedly reproduces the physical pollution monitoring network implanted in the industrialized area of Tarragon, Spain. This automatic network collects on- line pollution data and meteorological information that are processed by the SODCAT system, a comprehensive air quality surveillance model that carries out on-line 6h prognostic simulations.
