The present work is based on the description of the algorithms and the use of the ADM model; this model, developed after empirical work in an anaerobic reactor at our laboratory, allows description of the reactor behaviour with a minimum number of variables. It represents a helpful tool for that working with anaerobic biological reactors in order to optimize production of methane and the quality of the treated wastewaters. 1.
