Abstract
The finite difference method is applied to control problems of ground water pollution, where the water is taken out by bore holes from a confined boundary aquifer. A numerical solution of Laplace equation advocated by W.Kinzelbach [1] has been employed. Numerical results for several senars are given with emphasis in the prediction of the path of underground water pollutants. 1. Introduction The 56 communities (60 000 habitants) of loannina basin get drinkable water from the Touba's aquifer through bore holes. The water supply system is under control of S.Y.K.L.I. (Water supply cooperation loannina's basin communities). It is estimated that mentioned aquifer can give 8.000.000 m of drinkable water per year. It is notified that any chemical elaboration to water supply was not necessar
