Abstract
The object of this article is to analyze the environmental indicators for a petrochemical organization that has EMS certification from the NBR ISO 14001. Research methodology was adapted from the case study carried out in Compania Petroquímica do Sul (South Petrochemical Company) – COPESUL, located in the South petrochemical complex in Triunfo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil and is therefore included in this research for the Brazilian Petrochemical sector, the company of this study, within the petrochemical context. Results include evidence of: analysis of generated residues from production, environmental monitoring and energy and water consumption. Based on the data presented by the company it was possible to provide an analysis of their environmental performance which was conclusively considered positive.
