Abstract
Back pain is not an illness in itself, it is a symptom of a disorder that generally is mechanical in origin. To detect the source of back pain and give the appropriate diagnosis, an extensive and detailed mechanical analysis has to be carried out. Therefore, practitioners and clinicians can based their assessments on the results obtained from this analysis. This paper describes a methodology to calculate two-dimensional spine kinematic parameters using parallel computation, videofluoroscopy and image processing. As the situation to solve is an inherently parallel problem, where the same kinematic analysis has t
