Abstract
We designed a computer model of the dynamics of innervation and reinnervation of skeletal muscle fibers by motoneuronal networks representing a spinal motor nucleus. The model allowed to create motor units with different structures and arrangements. Motoneuron decay with different time courses was simulated by the aid of the Monte Carlo method. After a motoneuron was lost, denervation of the corresponding muscle fibers occurred followed by their reinnervation due to axonal sprouting.
